Mark together with colleagues from Breakdance Project Uganda; Kimuli Steven Valentine aka Bboy Droplets and Lubega Peter (photographer) held workshops for in & out of school rural youth in Eastern Uganda districts of Mbale, Iganga and Jinja between 25th March and 2nd April. Workshops consisted of Breakdance techniques & concepts, Self discovery, workout & stretching, career guidance and groups & one on one discussion on creating employment. They were hosted by social projects; Dream House Uganda Mbale at Mbale municipal stadium, Youth Legacy Africa Jinja at Walukuba community centre and 256 Youth platform in Iganga.
The workshops focused on;
- Elevating artistic skills in breakdance & fitness instruction.
- Discovering self, realizing potential and opportunities.
- Using social media and other available platforms constructively.
- Creating employment.
