Next Level, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is an international hip-hop arts and culture program. Next Level sends American hip-hop artist-educators use music and dance to promote cultural exchange, entrepreneurship, and conflict prevention. Teams of four—a beat maker/producer, a DJ, a hip-hop dancer, and an MC—spend 2–3 weeks teaching and performing in the host countries.
Next Level Uganda took place over a period of 2 weeks with a series of workshops which culminated into a public performance.
